Born in 1998 in Casablanca, Morocco, Alaa Halifi is an international award-winning architect and author. With numerous recognitions to his name, he has made significant contributions to both Moroccan and international architectural discourse. His works have been featured in various magazines, showcasing his expertise and insights in the field. Notably, he clinched the prestigious "Al Rafidain" international Book Award in Lebanon for his first book ‘In praise of madness’.
In 2020, Alaa Halifi's talent and vision were recognized on a global scale when he secured the first prize at the Pittsburgh International Architecture Competition held in Pennsylvania, USA.
Currently, Alaa Halifi is deeply engaged in research, sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience as he teaches design studio courses. Additionally, he is actually preparing for his doctoral studies, demonstrating his commitment to advancing the field of architecture through research and scholarly pursuits.
Alahal
Alahal (a fusion of "Alaa" and "Halifi") embodies Halifi's ethos and aspirations. It serves as both a multidisciplinary studio and a laboratory, transcending conventional boundaries to explore the intersections of architecture with literature, science, and the environment.
Through innovative and multidisciplinary approaches, and by the Principe of ‘Thinking global and acting local’, Alahal seeks to push the boundaries of architectural practice, fostering creativity and collaboration across diverse domains.
